We want to share the inspiring story of our employee Edvardas Zamaliauckas (Team Leader, ROL Lithuania).
Hearing about the need for help for the Ukrainian people Edvardas and his family decided to contribute and accommodate a Ukrainian family in their garden house.
"We soon found out that Svitlana with her pregnant daughter Alina (25 years old), daughter Victoria (15 years old) and two puppies, will stay with us. When the Association „Karpatai“ asked if we could commit to providing full assistance and support, we did not hesitate to agree. Before that, the family lived in Odessa, but when the shooting started, a difficult decision had to be made - to run. The family decided to come to Lithuania because Svitlana's husband works in a company in Radviliškis as a truck driver“, said Edvardas.
Svitlana started working in ROL Lithuania warehouse as a packer.
"Now Svitlana's family is feeling good, they have already tasted Lithuanian traditional meal “cepelinai“. The team of ROL Lithuania welcomed Svitlana very warmly, everyone wanted to help and contribute as much as they could. Clothing, food or financial support”.
